Well, this week and for several weeks, there are 13 people, not counting Jan and Pablo...plus one baby, and 4-5 regular visitors, residing @Jan’s place! Family come and go, visitors come to talk to Pablo, pastors come in from a village and stay. Jan hosts us all.
It also has become a clinic! There are 4 diabetics, one with an amputated foot, one in very poor control, and 2 in Good condition. They are in Rooms 102 and 103... in Room 201 we have the young man with typhoid....and in Room 103 also, we have Pablo’s mom with acute gall bladder problems and 3 fractured ribs.... see photos of the huesero (bone setter) working on Mom’s ribs...interesting
Other than that, we are all well and happy! We go to market...a lot..., and occasionally get Jan to the parque for a limonada or ice cream. We have enjoyed being together, talking a lot, praying, doing devotions together and making another banner to use after Easter. We have been reading and working several 750 and 1000 piece puzzles....given to us in a baggie without a picture! We have been visiting people and churches, working in The clinic, going to the prison,
Janet, who was raised in the village as a child of missionaries is with us too, and it is good! She now lives in Holland, and is here each of the last 2 years for some weeks, teaching a Hebrew class to the pastors, and contemplating her roots and how to incorporate this part of her life into her current life!
